Where can I find directions on changing the password for a protected directory? The Cpanel video is for new directories. When I tried to follow the directions, after selecting the domain and clicking OK, there was a warning message that said I had to remove Frontpage extensions first. Huh? I don't use Frontpage and never have. It also seemed to warn that everything in the directory would be lost.

So could you please point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

Pat

I donīt think you can change password without first removing the password protection and then redo it.

As for the frontapge extensions, you can remove them if you donīt use frontpage.
1. Scroll down to the "Advanced" section of your cpanel
2. Click Frontpage Extensions
3. Then it should be either a "Remove/Delete" or a "Cleanup" button. I donīt have the extensions installed so I can not click them, but it should be a button like this.
4. If you donīt feel comfortable doing the above, the help desk can fix it for you. All it takes is submitting a ticket.

Thomas, I have a backup, so I'll give it a try. I'll let you know if it works. Thanks!
